Ali Bahbahani, an overseas homeowner in Ealing, London, was fined £1.2 million for illegally

converting a property into flats and adding an extension without planning permission.

Despite repeated violations, Bahbahani profited from renting out the unauthorized flats.

Legal proceedings concluded on January 25th, resulting in a confiscation order of £1,283,444.

Ealing Council is also set to recover over £16,000 in unpaid taxes.

The property has been sold to a new owner, and the council is assisting in rectifying the unauthorized alterations.

Councillor Shital Manro warned against abusing the planning system,

emphasizing the importance of obtaining proper permissions.
